Flying the Spirit of St. Louis

In 2002 and with the cooperation of the Experimental Aircraft Association, Barry was checked out in EAA's replica of the Spirit of St. Louis. He then wrote The Spirit Flies On, an article that appeared in the May, 2002 edition of AOPA Pilot to commemorate the 75th anniversary of Charles Lindbergh's epic, nonstop solo flight from New York to Paris in May, 1927.

For this article, Barry was honored in Paris, France during June, 2003 with the Aero-Club de France Award for general aviation by the selection committee of the prestigious Aerospace Journalist of the Year Awards.
